Sade is the Truth

I've always been a fan of Sade, having been brought up on her music through my mother. I was ecstatic to hear that she's back with a new single and releasing a new album in February of 2010. Here's a link to Soldier of Love.

Note the trumpets at the beginning..reminscent of Jay- Z love of trumpets..couldv'e sworn after the trumpets, Jay-z would come out saying, "Ladies & Gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself" ;)

Let's be honest...

Most girls who date boys in bands...pretend to actually enjoy their music. It just makes things easier. Here's Norwegian Annie making it quite clear that she "doesn't like your band". Haha, if we all could be so brave.

Playing on repeat

Currently playing lovely Aussie band, The Scare-Could be bad (GLOVES Remix)
This remix is kinda reminiscent of fellow Aussies The Presets but with a lighter funkier feel :)

Setting herself apart..

Bloggers, with the exception of few, are notorious for taking meaningless and uninspiring self-photos. I came across Cheap Thrills
blogspot and was entertained by the creativity put into her blog from the photos to the music selection. Bottom line..blog worth following. Makes me wish I enrolled in those Photoshop classes at Uni :s

Allez Les Bleus!

The new Uniqlo campaign has been released starring some familiar faces shaping french pop culture today. I couldn't be anymore thrilled. I've been trying to learn french for what seems like forever (should enroll already) and have been drowning myself in all things, well..french. So, seeing the likes of Mehdi, Sebastien and Hafsi in a campaign makes me want to tip my beret off to Uniqlo in a job well done. Bisous<3

NYC..so far

Fashion Night Out- A night of global celebrations
Andre Leon Talley (Vogue)
Chanel Iman @ Versace
Tyson Beckford- Daryl K
MISSHAPES DJ SET
Vogue Alumni House hosted by Brad of Rachel Zoe Project
Here in New York primarily for interviews, but can't help in taking advantage of my being here during fashion week. I had the pleasure of attending fashion parties and who can forget FNO aka Fashion Night Out. New York was literally one big playground. So many happenings at the same time posed the night to be a tad overwhelming. I'd made plans to only be here for a week, but I soon found out that using my AA points allowed me the option of changing my departure date at no cost. How was I going to pass up the chance to stay a little longer? I love you, NY:)
